These terms cover your use of this website and of any material published on it.

1. What this is

Surveyology is a trading name of Logos Group Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17422831), of 60 The Beacon, Stile Common Road, Huddersfield HD4 6DE. It is a reference and tooling project for residential surveyors.

2. Website use

• Website content, including practice notes and reference material, is provided for general information only. It is not professional advice about any specific property, and no professional relationship is created by reading it.
• While reasonable care is taken to keep content accurate and current, no warranty is given that it is complete, correct or up to date. Standards, regulations and best practice change over time.
• Material written for practitioners assumes a professional reader exercising their own judgement. It does not replace that judgement, and it is not a substitute for inspecting the building in question.
• Decisions about a specific property should be based on a professional inspection of that property, not on general articles.
• Content on this site is © Surveyology and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Sharing links to articles is welcome.

3. Tools and material in development

• Parts of the library described on this site — the clause library, field capture and several kit and reporting entries — are still being written. Nothing is offered for sale, licence or download, and no release date is promised.
• Descriptions of work in progress are statements of current intent, not commitments. Scope, timing and whether a strand ships at all may change.
• Where wording, templates or tools are made available in future, they will carry their own licence terms. Any such material supplies language, not conclusions: the condition rating, the reasoning and the professional liability remain entirely with the surveyor who signs the report.

4. Messages you send

• Messages sent through the contact form or by email are used to reply to you, and are handled as described in the privacy policy.
• Please do not send confidential client information, personal data about third parties, or material subject to someone else's copyright.
• If you volunteer wording, suggestions or feedback, we may use it to improve the project without obligation or payment, unless we agree otherwise in writing beforehand.

5. Liability

• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
• Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content, or from the use of any material published here in place of the reader's own professional judgement and inspection.
• We are not liable for the content of external sites linked from here.

6. Complaints

A complaints procedure is published on this site — see the complaints procedure. Complaints about a survey, a report or an inspection belong with the practice that carried out the work, not here.

8. General

• These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
• If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continue in force.
• These terms may be updated from time to time; the version published at the date of your website use or enquiry applies.
